Its really not hard to do, they even sell kits. A spark plug is installed in the tailpipe & ran to a switch which re-routes the spark from coil to the new plug (vice going to the engine's spark plugs). The spark plug in the tail pipe then ignites the unburnt fuel @ the tail pipe.

Boy, that takes me back to the '60's. A friend of mine used to build hotrods. Came up the milk shake joint with flames spewing from the dual pipes. Really spectacular, at night. Ahhhhhh memories. Bazza
