Harry Potter fans turn violent

I kid you not, just heard it on TV. Because of the postponement of the new movie the fans are sending death threats.
Good Lord, what are the 11-12?

My youngest daughter not long ago told me of parents she knew of who would not allow their children to see or read Harry Potter claiming it to be witchcraft.
Maybe they weren't all wrong. Good Grief!
Oh almost forgot, it's thousands who signed an on line protest.

Also screaming witchcraft about that. Like you said it's fiction.

 

Hahaha Darlene! I'm a bit disappointed but I'm not going to send death threats!:confused This is not due to what is said in the HP novels, quite the opposite. It's more due to societal upbringing I believe.

I thought it was very good, but I haven't read the books. I do know that they had to change the name of the organization brainwashing the children because it was originally 'the church' - the books were written by a staunch Athiest - So I guess i know why they'd be up in arms about it. But Harry Potter has nothing to do with actual witch craft, I mean the "death curse" is Avada Kedavra for crying out loud... say it fast, it's abera cadabera.

But it was rather obnoxious that they pushed the movie back from this fall to next summer at the last second. Their reasoning was it couldn't possibly gross as much as the dark knight did for us. We've made our money for this year and next year we have nothing but Terminator going for us... it was a money decision.

 

seen it, i was eagar to see it and was disapointed good concept good story line actors good it just lacked sumthing dont know wat and the ending is annouying i think it was cause the story they showed in the movie was merely a glimpse of the full story making u think there is going to be a few more movies....... id personally wait till there out lol

 

Before opening this thread, just seeing the title, I knew that would be the reason - the postponing of the film until next summer.

I think it's due to competing with the new James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace' which is due out end of October.
