Good or bad, I will see it anyway, besides I already know what its about, since I've read the book already.

NEVER thought I'd get addicted to the Harry Potter books.

I wonder what they are going to do about the actor who plays Harry. He is like 17 and there is a series of 7. He will be 25+ when 7th movie comes out

My daughter has a few of the books... I've never personally seen any of the movies NOR have I read the books... Are they good? Or is it basically dependent on one's opinion? I've been thinking about reading her books and then seeing the movies... Couldn't hurt to try, eh?

I read both my sons the first 3 books and started to get really into them. We all went when the movies came out. I can't wait to see it even though they won't be here to go see it with me.....I'm still going! :)

Not seen/read any of them yet... too much hype for me to take them seriously.

Only got around to watching Lord of the Rings trilogy, a few months back in one mamoth session...

Oh do tell! Was it any good? Chris & I have looked at the DVDs a few times at Blockbuster but have yet to rent them.

As to Harry Potter...haven't ready any of the books yet but I have seen a couple of the movies. Chris and I enjoyed them both.:) We don't do the theater thing so like the others, we'll wait til they show up on TV.

Yes, very good.. a little long in some places eg. the lead up to battle scenes BUT I did enjoy them, would definatly recomend doing all three in one go ( whole days viewing )

but make sure you have ample supplies or tasty treats and drinks :)

Ex g/f sorta made me watch the first two. I loved her so I sat and watched without complaining. Not really my cup of tea, though I can understand the attraction for some. It is sort of light-hearted fare, and I was actually surprised that I enjoyed them as much as I did.

taking my 12 year old daughter on Sunday......as to lighthearted, the first two movies were rated PG, this one is PG-13.......wobbles

This one was good...the only reason it got a pg-13 rating was because the end of the movie had a real evil feel to it...dont want to give anything away to the ppl that have not read the book...

The goblet of fire had been my favorite book of the series so far. Maybe that is why i was so disapointed in the movie was because i had such great expectations.

I was really surprised when i saw the pg-13 rating. I thought it might be because Harry gets a girlfriend in this book. guess not though

Did you watch the film version, or the extended version?

I own the Extended versions of all three movies.

I've read the books when I was about 10 or so. Then read them again 20 years later.

I work for a national non-profit that records books onto CDs for blind and dyslexic folks. We do mainly text books, no fiction.

But there are so many Harry Potter geeks at my work, that they make a huge event out recording Harry Potter books. They'll get about twenty copies of the book the day before it's released, and do a two day round the clock recording session and make a giant "Harry Potter party" out of it. It's usually ready for the members by the third day.

They wear wizard hats and caps and whatnot. I've never actually seen or read any Harry Potter stuff myself, but I guess there must be something to it all. I mean these people at my work are total Harry Potter freaks!

One of these days I'll have to see what it's all about.
