Has anyone noticed or is it just me

Hello Everyone,

has anyone noticed another website launches up when you try major geeks forum. I keep a website popping up in my firefox browser something about creating a brute lol.

Its everytime i click on the forums nothing else on the major geeks site.

 

Yeah it started about 2 hrs ago. probably a cliche . I believe they are still working on the sight from the last problem.

 

Redirection Problem

Not sure if anyone else is seeing this but I keep getting redirected to another site when I try to access the forum. I picked up an easy way to remedy this short term on another board, details below (this is copied as is and it not my solution):

Yes.Ran all scans thinking something had slipped in.
Tried 3 other browsers./
Did a System Restore.

I tried the solution that you propose Mac but it wouldn't work. I managed to stop the redirections by blocking scripts from MG though. I hope someone takes care of this fast because our forum is basicaly cut-off right now. And everyone thinks their computer has malware.

 

Nothing wrong with your PCs, it occurs to everyone. I was able to manage it using the "NoScript" addon for Firefox to prevent scripts from majorgeeks.com from being executed. As soon as the guys sort out the issue I will turn them back on.

 

It's fixed now. I knew they would get it.Thanks whoever fixed it:clap

 

At least I know my machine(s) are clean.

 

I was on earlier, and didn't have any problem getting the forum.. Maybe I was inbetween glitches?

 

I've been there daily and never a problem and i don't have that no-scripts add-on, vanilla firefox, basically.

 

The problem only lasted about 3 hours and then just stopped . If memory serves me right it stopped around the same time the situation in software was cleared up. That's why I thought it had something to do with it.

 

It is working okay now .Must be some bad programming code.

I know some sites you can get pop ups but redirections is bad .
