Has anyone used this program?

Wifey's HD is starting to give error mssgs such as "Harddrive failure imminent" She is perfectly happy the way her computer is set up right now, so I would like to make an image of her HD so when it DOES actually fail, I can take that image, put it on a new HD, replace her HD with the one that has her HDs image and have it seem as if nothing has ever happened.

Am sure MG has imaging software that some of you may recommend over this one.

Thank you very much for the insight. My wife is strange when it comes to her computer. If it's broke she wants me all over it. But if it is working fine to the point where she can do what ever it is she does on the computer, she does not want me touching it because she thinks I will change things. (she is probably right) when a geek sees a problem with a computer the geek wants to fix it. :-D
I'm pretty certain I can convince her to let me make an image for the soul purpose of getting her back up and running once the HD fails.

Have you used this program before? If so, is it pretty easy?

 

No, I haven't actually used that program. It's just one among other software tools that can be used to clone a hard drive. You might also take a look at EASEUS Todo Backup. It can be downloaded from http://majorgeeks.com/EASEUS_Todo_Backup_d6195.html. For more info, see http://www.todo-backup.com/. I haven't used this particular product from EASEUS either. I have used another one of their products, EASEUS Partition Master, and found it quite useful.

 

I can confirm that Easeus Todo is a reliable tool for imaging and cloning drives and partitions.

 

Well, I know many people have read this post so has anyone tried the originally mentioned program or XXClone?
