How about Windows Blind?

It was a given that the final version wouldn't be called Longhorn. They never stick with their development name for the final product.

 

2 threads advertising your site. No.

 

Why is it always my threads they do this too ???

 

Just to satisfy my curiousity, does anyone know what XP was called in its dev stages? (If it had a codename )

 

XP was/is codename Whistler
[EDIT] SP2 is Springboard

 

After Windows Vista, which is still codename Longhorn, is Blackcomb. So, Microsoft is already thinking about the next version of windows to replace the yet to be released next version.

 

What does windows vista have other than the looks?They took out all the promised technologies,now all they have are the looks so they name it vista?Will it include avalon indigo or winFX?Microsoft says these technologies will be available for xp too.So is vista really worth waiting for?Is it going to be one of those less popular windows operating systems?I heard that they dont even plan to put .net in it?Yeah it should be called windows blind.

 

Maybe they'll have to change it again.....

This might also cause problems with Visa, the credit card company. After all, what you hear is how it is pronounced!

 

I quit, I want a mac, grrr....

 

I don't think that is going to be much of a concern...you say "visa" with a long "e" and you say "vista" with a short "i"!!

I would be more concerned with the other software company in the same town with the same name..."Vista"!!!!
