    I have a new computer with 16gb ram, a core i5 3570K and a nice new AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB.

So, I have some (probably outdated) drivers for my processor. Does it make a difference in performance if I install them or not? They may have already been grabbed by windows update as well since I spent a few hours making it update everything it could find.

I can't even find a driver update for your processor. You've heard the expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."? As long as there aren't any problems, I wouldn't be too concerned. :)

With my new asus p8z77-vlx lk2 mobo, there are drivers for it on the mobo support dvd.

    Hi

I would only update drivers if my motherboard maker said they had updates and then only if they fixed a specific issue, so check yours HERE and see if they have updates.

Check the dates on Device Manager drivers and the ASUS support website, to see if you need to update at all.

But if your PC is working ok then leave alone.
