Have added a 2nd HD and have some ?

Hi I had a old 80gb Seagate Hd that I have added to my machine. I want to store videos,Pics etc on one drive and have the other one for games T.S etc.

I have the second drive running as E/, I have made sure that it has no virus etc.

The E/ drive has has a lot of programs that my c/ drive already has, BF2, CCS, Mozillia to name a few. How do I get rid of unwanted programs on my E/ drive. I tried ad/remove programs, however that seemed to only access my original drive.

Also how do I transfer programs from one drive to the other, so that I can tidy my system up.

I have a feeling I can only do this if both drives are reformatted and I start this process from the start?

I have had a google but there is so much info I was just getting confused.

Once you add the drive as a slave, it is no longer tied to the operating system. In other words, your thinking that E drive has all these programs installed, but your operating system on the new drive did not install them, so what matters is everything on E is just files to you and the new operating system. This means you have to delete them manually. IMHO, I would transer everything you want to save from E to your new C drive in a temporary folder, then format E and move the saved files from C back. This way you also get rid of all the other folders with system files, etc that could cause some conflicts later on.

You can use Windows Explorer, create a drive on C to move the stuff you want to save to. Then, after E is formatted, create new folders to keep it all neat and start moving stuff back.
