Have I been Hacked? Search engine results are wacky!

Thankfully I was given this website address by someone who had a similar problem, and so I'm hopeful someone here can help me!

Whenever I try to search on Google or Yahoo, all I get for results are links to unreleated sites like monstermarketplace.com, etc. that just give more links. I've been told that somehow a hacker has written some code in that redirects the search engine to false sites that contain malware??

The only information I could find about search engine results being unrelated mentioned something about WordPress blogs. I have read blogs from WordPress, but don't have an account or blog hosted there, so I'm not sure where to start trying to fix this!

I would greatly appreciate any advice! Thank you!

 

I have started reading around here and found the Read and Run instructions...I will try them first! Sorry to barge in here and just ask questions I'm sure many others have already asked! :-o I will post again if it doesn't seem to work. Thanks!

 

Well I completed the Read and Run and all seems to be working fine now!! It was a long process, but gosh it was worth it! I've printed all the instructions out so I have it in case anything happens again, and I also will regularly complete the "basic computer maintenance" so my computer runs great all the time.

So, now that I think my problem has been fixed, do I still need to post my logs, etc.?
