I have some thing on my desktop that has taken over my computer. I have done everything in the "read me first" thread as well as a few other threads here suggesting what to do, and nothing is working. I have downloaded and run every program known to man practicly. This board has helped me out once before when a similar thing happened, so I'm hoping that I will get lucky again  Here is a picture of what has taken over my desktop, maybe it looks familar to someone. I wont attach my hijack this log until someone tells me too, as per the request. Thanks A Bunch

Sorry for the delay, was a little side tracked by christmas :) Here are all the logs, including a panda activescan before and after I ran smitrem. The "Spyware Infection" is gone off my desktop but the active scan still says I have 22 spyware things in my computer dispite the fact that I have run every spyware program I know of. Thanks for having a look :)

This is not the normal way to add attachments. How did you do this?

Doing it this way requires another login?

I don't know how I did it...I added the attachments and then clicked on the paper clip and selected add all or something. I will upload them to my own server and re-attach them because it won't let me do it again.

Here is a list of all the logs....just click on them and the logs will open. Hope this works better :) http://www.parkavedesignz2.com/logs.htm

Okay! This occurs when you clicked the paper clip at the top. This is an unnecessary and for this forum unwanted step. After you upload you files using Manage Attachments all you need to do was cloce that window and then save your message and you would have normal attachments rather than inline attachments. I fixed the original ones. Now you can click on them to view them and you will not have to log in again.

I need the BitDefender log please attach it.

According to HijackThis you have/or had both AVG7 adn BitDefender 8 installed. It would appear tha tAVG7 failed to uninstall properly. Reload AVG7 then uninstall it.

    REBOOT to Safe Mode.

Open Windows Explorer, navigate to and delete the following:
Now run CCleaner. If you have Windows XP delete the contents of C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch.

Then, as an added precaution, Go to Start -> Run and type: cleanmgr and then click OK. Make sure the boxes for these are checked:
    Temporary Files
    Temporary Internet Files
    Recycle Bin

    And Click OK.

    REBOOT to Normal Mode.

Follow directions for Running Ewido Security Suite.

Post the converted BitDefender log, the Ewido log and a fresh HijackThis log.

Shadow_Puter_Dude - thanks for the steps, I am off to do that now, and will attempt once again to attach my original bitdefender log here and will post the requested new logs once I finish the steps you provided :)

Chaslang - thank you for fixing my attachments I will try to do better this time ;)

For some reason when I try to upload the bitdefender log, it begins the process but then times out.....I posted it on my server, here is a direct link - http://www.parkavedesignz2.com/LOGS/BitDefenderScanReport1.log
