I had tubes put in my ears when I was a kid, and I had my wisdom teeth removed. Hopefully, that's all the surgery I'll ever have.

Appendectomy ( appendix removed ) as a teen, was mis-diagnosed at first as kidney problem, until once night I had severe pain and a neighbour who was nurse said its best to get to A&E as its my apendix about to rupture, was in surgery within an hour.

Same as Halo, woke up at 3am and thought I was having a heart attack in July 2003 and got a doctor here. Taken into hospital, stupid guy thought I was ok, kept me in over night, luckily I was examined again and was confirmed I had it. Had the thing removed the next day in the evening - sucks, you're not allowed to eat anything until they've removed it!!!
Also when I was 6 a huge birthmark was removed from my arm as it could've been cancerous if it was left. Well hopefully that's me for ever!!
Oh yeh, and I had stitches in my chin when I was 4 for falling over at school :D
And been in a few fights with people where I've needed stitches and other stuff. Great fun!!!

Broken bones reset, cuts stitched up, wisdom teeth removed, that's about it.

Had surgery on my hand for Dupuytren's contracture which is where the tissue between the palm and the fingers thickens and finally the finger folds down into the palm. Hurt like hell for a few days and still doesnt go all the way straight but better than it was!!! I just cant flip the bird with that hand very well!!!

I've had surgery twice. Both times it was for cancer in my neck. I have a huge scar going from the left side to the middle of my neck. I've also had my wisdom teeth taken out.

Nothing to it. Find you a good oral surgeon, count to ten backwards, then you open your eyes and the doc is standing there with a prescription pad. ;)

I can't take any pain relievers. Allergic to every one of them.

If you go to an oral surgeon you probably won't need any, they are good.

You can't take Hydrocodone? (is that spelled right)

By pain releivers, I meant over the counter stuff... and that includes a lot of the prescription stuff that they normally give you for that procedure (ex. Tylenol 3). Hydrocodone... no idea... all I know is that before I can take any pain relievers I'd have to go back to my family doctor who then refers me to an allergist and then we do tests ... ahhhh..... I dont' have the patience for that. ;)

Reconstructive surgery on my hand. I had to have all tendons re-attached. Nerves took a couple years to regenerate so that I had feeling again. Plastic surgeon did a damn good job, unless you look really close, you would never know.

Plastic surgeons do the best stitch jobs in the business :p

I didn't go under and had 3 pulled on separate occasions. You recover faster if your body isn't having to deal with post-anaesthsia issues. If you are having bottom ones removed watch out for dry socket a couple of days later. Man...that hurts more than birthing without pain relief! More common in women tho, you'll be happy to hear MA ;)

Apart from that I'm pretty healthy, if you don't count a knitting needle down the ear, a bead up the nose, legs going rusty and slashing my hand open on a milk bottle (not intentional!).

When I had my wisdom teeth done, all four were impacted and required surgery to remove. I had all four done at once. They gave me the option of going under or not...and I chose under. Screw that, I don't need to hear/see them cutting my jaw open and twisting my teeth out.

The bonus is they did it with valium, so everything I had ever been upset about was gone when I woke up, and I was perfectly calm for about three days afterward. :D

I was put under too. They had to cut near the joint of my jaw to get one...my jaw has never been the same.

    It constantly hurts, and pops.

I had tubes put in my ears when I was very young because I kept getting ear infections.

And recently, I had hand surgery for two broken bones in my right hand.

The fourth and fifth midcarpals were broken. (The midcarpals are the bones inside of your hand that lead to your fingers. The fourth midcarpal leads to the ring finger, and the fifth midcarpal leads to the pinky.) The fourth midcarpal was broken in the middle of the hand, and the fifth midcarpal was broken just before the knuckle.

During the surgery, two small incisions were made in the top of my hand nearer to the wrist than my knuckles. Then, two pins were inserted down into my hand to hold the bones in place so they could heal without me needing a cast.

In about a week or so, I'll have another surgery to remove the pins from inside my hand.
