So what if anything has made you laugh today?

    It's not!
You should read MajorGeeks News. First you'll shake your head in disbelief... and then laugh at the stupidity of some people, especially their excuses.
And if the reports don't make you laugh... read the comments.
    Here's two. :D

I check the News often and yes some funny things there. Sometimes you wonder about the lack of common sense, why some people have it and some don't.;)

My cat's antics with the neighbour's dog.

While we both know and get on with the neighbour's dog (who on occasion has stayed with us - both he and the cat sleeping together), for some reason the dog becomes most territorial and barks madly whenever my cat either nears the fence or walks on top of the palings, (my cat much blowing raspberries at his barking).:p

What makes me laugh is having observed my cat becoming aware there is one paling in the fence which the dog has loosened at the bottom sufficiently to expose part of his nose when pressed against it.

My cat first checks where the dog is, then quietly stealths to this particular paling. He sits back on his rump, raises his upper body up then he suddenly falls forward with both front paws out landing heavily with his upper body weight against this paling. This alerts the dog who comes racing to the paling, sticks his nose against the small opening and bingo, my cat wacks him (no blood drawn, just shocking the dog). This manoevre is repeated and the silly dog keeps coming back for more!:D

Funny thing is whenever the dog comes over to my place or if I take my cat over to their place, they are always well behaved and the cat chases him around the yard, a game the dog loves playing...weird relationship...go figure!o_O

Just reading thru the new posts in the lounge today I have few good laughs. Not going to say which ones - you'll have to find them for yourselves! a lot of times the florida Friday news is good and also the random photos. Also I see a lot like already described here. Also get a kick out of pets and the things I hear youngsters say.

Yeah normally laugh each day (nurses I work with keep me LMAO daily), otherwise I;d go MAD or madder than I am nomally. Did laugh on friday morning as I have a consultant review panel meeting I attend each week, and at one part I was going to tell the junior doc the answer by "not so well" whispering the answer to her, but my boss who is a professor of ophthalmology and out of character in one of these meetings kicked my chair and said not giving the answer away. At end of meeting he did say see you in London next week and will text to find what pub you are in..... love my bosses!

Years ago when I had Win98 and before AT&T took over we had Bell South dial-up. Remember how bad that was? My computer crashed and when I got it restarted it had knocked out my internet. After I had done everything I knew how to do at the time to get it up and running I had to call Bell South Tech Support. I got a guy that did not speak understandable english. After more than a hour on the phone having to say "Could you repeat that?" or "I'm sorry but I did not understand what you said" he starts the spelling routine of saying a letter as in a word, you know how it goes. I kid you not he was saying D as in Duh. At least that is what it sounded like. After about six tries at this my flustration got the best of me and I blurted out "It's D as in David, N as in Nancy, P as in Peter, everyone knows that!":(. I kid you not he burst out laughing and it took him a minute to compose himself, but miraculously his english improved. Hummm!
So obviously a good belly laugh does miraculous things.;)

Sometimes... laughter is the best medicine. :p

Being angry at people... or within yourself... is a killer.
Just let those sad people, peed of with life, the world, and everyone who has different viewpoints to their's... continue to be miserable.

Enjoy life... and laugh! You'll happily grow old.

This thread made me smile. A very good one, kat.

I have not yet this morning since it's just me and my dogs and they haven't done anything yet to make me laugh.

Yesterday, my daughter and I both started giggling and laughing after I reached over to remove what I thought was a loose piece of her hair that was stuck to her sweater. Turns out it was actually attached to her head.

Wanted to laugh out loud today, but managed to suppress it to a smile, while having our income taxes prepared. Sounds like a oxymoron combining laughing and tax returns, huh?
The person doing our return spent a good deal of time telling us how knowledgeable they were about the tax laws, an expert really.
Long story short is they had to eat those words and get someone else to help with our return.:p Good news is we get money back!:)

Was shopping at a store yesterday-won't say which one- few small items and a data card. $62.16 total. I gave up $65. While waiting for the checkout clerk I noticed my wife's eyes getting bigger and bigger. She pointed to the screen on our side and "Look!" I saw '592.84' for change. Loud enough for more to hear I said "yooohoooo. I'm coming shopping here all the time." The lady had punched in $655 instead of $65. I added to it saying "Yeahh! I'm telling everyboby to come here!" Everybody laughed.

Glad you did not laugh all the way to the bank. Sadly there are people who would of taken the money and left.:( I have gone back to a store to pay for something the cashier failed to charge me for more than once. It is the right thing to do. People make mistakes. I know I do.

Right! Once I went to a Western Union to cash a paycheck. Had a lot of overtime so it was a good check. I got back out to my car and recounted the money. There was a 100 dollar bill extra. I went in and explained. The lady says 'I'm so glad! I would have to pay for it.' Later when talking about it I realized you know they make copies of everything and have video everywhere so it would be figured out where it went. But I just feel like if you cheat then something worse is bound to happen and I don't think like that anyway. The smile you get when you do something right is it's own reward!

Bored during a meeting, I looked out the window across to a park where I saw an elderly gentleman somewhat bowed with a bit of a beer gut slowly walking down the pathway. Nothing extraordinary...

What caught my attention was when he suddenly became alert, straightened up, shoulders back, head up, beer gut sucked in, arms began to swing, his face becoming quite animated. Following his gaze I understood his body language when coming towards him (her back to me) appeared to be an attractive young lady, shiny long hair swinging across her shoulders with a short midriff top, a skirt hanging loosely off her hips which swayed in the warm sea breeze.

As soon as she passed him, he gave her a long backward look, then went back to stooped shoulders, gut protruding and a shuffling gait.

It was almost like watching a couple of caricatures in a cartoon...but then I had to stop smiling when I saw that whimsical look on his face...thoughts of past youth maybe.

I was reminiscing today about some funny things that happened while I was still practicing OB-Gyn. To wit: one of my favorites: I examined a pretty, blonde young lady and had her come into my consultation office afterwards to talk. She asked how she was. I told her she was fine, and that she had acute vaginitis. She smiled and said, "Thank you!"

Sitting in traffic I glanced at a lady walking her dog. She suddenly stumbled with a dip in the footpath and likewise, her dog missed a step almost hitting its face on the footpath.

The woman’s typical reaction was to look behind at the cause as she continued walking.

What cracked me up was the dog in perfect unison with its mistress also looking behind at the uneven offending footpath.

Now how human is that…was it trying to hide its embarrassment as did its mistress?

    A Kodak moment…wish I could have captured it.https://s.yimg.com/ok/u/assets/img/emoticons/emo14.gif

When a friend came into work grinning broadly, it took little encouragement to find out why.

As part of a birthday gift, he’d bought his petite girlfriend a front opening/closing bra.

He was proud of his purchases then had to keep a straight face when decked out in her new underwear, she slid into the room flushing shades of red. Trying to contain her breasts within its new constraints she flushed embarrassment as she timidly complained he had bought her the wrong cup size.https://s.yimg.com/ok/u/assets/img/emoticons/emo12.gifhttps://s.yimg.com/ok/u/assets/img/emoticons/emo30.gif

[For those puzzled...she wore it back to front.https://s.yimg.com/ok/u/assets/img/emoticons/emo3.gif]

I laugh most days as you need too, but one thing that does make me laugh and I read it again this week in some case notes in work was a doctor had written "this pleasant lady" wonder why they write this as its going to make no difference to their treatment, wonder if a doc writes "this sanctimonious arrogant ass" would we treat them any different?
