Having a lot of problems with Malware, referred here for help.

I apologize for the topic being vague but I'm so computer illiterate that I can only describe the things that are happening to my computer and hope that someone could walk me through some steps to help with these problems. I tried to do it on my own but got confused .

I was referred here by a customer that comes into my work. He said the problems I was having were very similar to his, and he said he could have kissed the guys at this site for finally helping him solve his issues. If anyone would like to lend a helping hand to someone who may require some patience, it would be greatly appreciated.

• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifAfter doing ALL of the above and you still have a problem, make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below thread to properly use HijackThis and attach the log:

Ok. I'll try again. I got confused the first time around though.

 

After you complete the READ ME, attach the logs from the two online scans with a current HJT log.

If you have any problems and/or questions just let us know.
