just happened the other day out of no where..didnt install anything new didnt download anything new did nothing..

when i boot into normal windows it takes a long time for my kaspersky to open this never happened before..it looks like the process wuauclt.exe causes that delay.

anyway after everything loads up everything works as it should for about 15 mins then no applications(task manager,IE,etc.) load up. they come up in task manager but they dont come up on the screen. but if i go to open my computer or any folder they instantly open. but if i already have the application open it will run fine.

other things ive noticed, windows has been stuck on downloading new updates and i cannot enable windows firewall. cant even get into the settings. says for there has been an unidentified problem and cannot go into settings. and no programs come up in my add/remove programs. the list doesnt populate.

if i boot into safe mode everything works perfect for however long im on.

to me it sounds like a virus/ malware but ive scanned with kaspersky, avast, spyware doctor, adware, spybot, and combofix. done cleanups, ccleaner. now im doing microsoft windows malicious software remover tool and i ran hijackthis.

any ideas as to what could be happening? any help would be awesome and heres the hijackthis log

Sort of surprized that your thread made it this long without a Moderator removing the inline HiJack log. The file that you referred to taking so long could actually be malware depending on where it is located. Would suggest going here and following the instructions. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407.

This may or may not be related to your problem, but running dueling AV apps isn't a good idea; you have both Avast and Kaspersky running simultaneously. Remove one or at least disable it completely to see if that helps the problem. Some AV apps (McAfee for example) are very difficult to completely disable from startup, so removal may be better. Additionally, I see some questionable entries in the HJT log: primarily the O4 entries that list regsvr32 and the O9 entry with xpnetdiag, also the O16 entry with no path listed, and these two entries from the running processes list:
    c:\72da8f044fabbac3a8bedc\mrtstub.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\MRT.exe
Follow the link posted above by Novice and follow the steps. If you want, try removing one (or both) of your antivirus apps and see if that helps for starters....

i only have the avast to run a boot scan. im going to uninstall that now. i put it here cause i think it might be a windows software problem and not spyware/virus. if you think it should be moved then please move it so i can get help from there. ive done pretty much everything posted in that link already. thanks for helping
