Having a problem updating Java and Loading Crap CLeaner... tells me DLL is missing

I need some intense HELP.... my browser kept crashing and I asked advice and was told to go thru the steps on the malware removal page .... well I did that but it won't let me update Java.... -(Error 1722 There is a problem with this Windows Installer Program. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor)- And I downloaded and installed the CCleaner but it won't let me run the program... -(A required .DLL file , MSVBVM60.DLL was not found). I don't know what the heck to do ... going outta my mind tryin to figure it and would greatly appreciate some pro help.... thanks 4 your time ... Bunny

 

The Dll you are missing is part of the Visual Basic 6 runtimes install this from the link and it should run fine

Have you uninstalled all previous versions of the java runtime ? If you still cannot get it to install just move to the next step but make sure you mention it in your malware thread as it will effect the fix

 

wow... you are the best... the first error I got was tellin me that I couldn't run CC cause it was missing VB6 runtime files.....

 

It worked and now I am able to run CC ... thanks so much ... you have no idea what you have done.... I was so about to shut it down for the nite... but thanks to you I can go on with fixing the problem. Gonna try the Java again and see what happens.... thanks ... Bunny
