Having problems getting to web sites, pls help!

Hi,
I am new to the forum and have a question. My son has a computer that is hooked up to the Internet and can not browses sites (he can get to google every now and then, but when he searches it just hangs forever. He is going through an Bell Simpatico DSL service. He does get his DHCP assignment and is able to ping any site with good response time, and he is able to telnet into port 80 with no problems. He put a laptop on the same network cable connected to the same port on the router and Internet access was not a problem. There are no proxies involved, and he is having the same problem using IE or Monzila. If he does a netstat –an it shows Established to the website he is trying to reach. Any thoughts??
