having problems with viewing pictures

that are on a web page. for example, when i try to view a page that has some pictures, they won't show up. this is the page i tried looking at at home:

when i look at it here at work, everything shows up fine, however, on my computer at home, it will only show the title's "world of wheel", and "detroit auto show". the pics don't load at all. i don't even get the little red x's. same problem on other sites. any ideas if it's an internet setting, or something else? i tried disabling my firewall & norton's internet security & it still won't work. please help.

 

Make sure there's a check mark in this setting:

Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced > Multimedia > Show Pictures

If that doesn't fix it, try deleting your Temporary Internet Files

Check your HOSTS file for entries

 

i'm sorry, waht does that mean?

 

what operating system are you using?

 

I wonder if it's because the pics, when you right click on them, pop a box that states "copyrighted material?" Maybe they'll download at work because someone there has asked the site if they can download them? Dunno if that has anything to do with it
