Hello- I am having trouble with my Display Adapter Driver crashing, black screen, and recovering rather frequently. System is absolutely malware free.

The Driver is the latest release from HP.

Please note the attached .zip screen shots of applicable info.

1)System Info- all relevant info, everything is up to date.

2)Event Viewer Info- Error ID 4101

    3)Video Hardware Error Report

4)Device Manager- Driver Info. The one shown seems to work the best- it
came with this system build (pc was brand new last month), however
there is a new Driver release as of 06/05/2015 from Intel, but it crashes
even more frequently. I believe the HD 4600 Driver that HP installed is a
'custom' driver designed for this OEM intent.

5)HD 4600 Properties- shows Adapter Information (Memory, etc.)

I surely would appreciate any and all help coming up with a solution for this very annoying anomaly. I thank you in advance for helping me out.

Thank you. I guess if you want to bake a great cake, one must have all the ingredients.

Yes, I have tried the latest Intel HD Driver for 4th gen CPU's- it is version 15.36.21.64.4222 rel. 5/29/2015. My current Driver, as of today and the latest from the H-P Driver and Support site, is version 10.18.14.4029 rel. 11/18/2014. It would be a reasonable assumption that the H-P Driver is a custom variant of the Intel and is tailored to my OEM mobo- which is a Kaili2 supplied by MSI (MS-7826 ver 2.0). It is a Z97 chipped board.

Right now, I have 4 tabs open and it just crashed again. I talked with H-P Support again today and some guy from India took a remote look, uninstalled the factory issued Driver and updated to current. Same crash and restart issue. To be honest, I think he was clueless, as I had told him that I uninstalled some MS updates that appeared to be causing the conflict. He chastised me for that saying that updates fix issues rather than cause them...yeah, right!...LOL... Anyway, he reinstalled the updates and here we are. Now I have to find my file with the list of updates that caused this issue and an issue with 'SFC /SCANNOW' problem whereas the scan finds corrupted files but can't repair them. I have an OEM Recovery Partition that will not allow me to extract good copies of the corrupted files and replace. H-P says the only thing I can do is a Recovery that puts machine back at the delivered OEM state. Not good, as then I have to reinstall everything I put on the machine, hardware and software. Anyway, sorry for veering off topic.

    Thanks again for your input.

    POSSIBLE FIX!

I went into the Legacy BIOS and checked some options. I do not have a dedicated Graphics Card installed yet in the 16x3.0 bus, yet it was enabled. So we disabled it and all seems well- so far!... Video and Display Adapter response appears to be significantly better.

Just an update for the next guy! :-D
