HD. Question?

    Which drive is faster, Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST3160827AS 160GB Serial ATA with NCQ or a WD.Raptor? Would it make any difference if they were in raid 0?

    Personally, I believe Western Digital sucks.

    Seagates appear faster (though I am biased), but biased or not, Seagates run quieter and have a 5 year warranty rather than WD's 1 year warranty.

    Unless the WD is significantly cheaper, I'd go with the Seagate, even if there is some speculaton.

    You know, I use exactly this Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST3160827AS 160GB :D It works fine. Unfortunately I can't say anything about WD.Raptor.
