HD4870 cf power consumption

    i currently have an hd4870, and I'd like to add another one. I know these cards eat a lot of juice. http://www.anandtech.com/show/2848/13
    will I be safe with my 850 watt power supply?

    850 Watts is enough but it depends on the quality of the PSU and how many amps are on the 12+ Rail

    What is the model of your psu?

    As pclover said, it really depends the 12v rail amperage and the make.

    Please post the make of the PSU, if you do not know, it will most likely be on the side of the PSU on a sticker.

    Thats a good PSU, you should be fine to run those cards, if you have enough PCI-E connectors.
