hdd acivity monitor ?

Hi all ,
Does anyone know if there is any software I can use to telll me what files are being accessed by my computer?

At bootup it goes on for about 10mins accessing my hdd constantly.

As far as I know I have NO antivirus scans set or Windows Defender scans
or scheduled De-Frags..

Any Ideas or suggestions people?

Perhaps Process Monitor http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx

Autoruns will show you what is running at startup http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

One of those will show you what is churning your hard drive.

Process Monitor is a nice tool. It has a useful boot logging feature, however I'm not sure that will help you any.
