HDD breakdown

    Hi guys n' gals,
    My HDD with all my photos,music etc. is dying . When i boot up, checkdisc comes up most of the time and then when i try to access it the PC sometimes slows or freezes. I have no problems with the HDD which contains my OS.
    Suggestions please.

    If check disk comes up, it means the disk NEEDS to be checked ASAP. Right-click the disk in my computer, props, tools, check now, check both boxes, start/ok.

    First things first, Back it all up NOW and then see if it's dying or not using the drive makers utility.
