    Dell 64bit desktop with win7Pro 64bit 120GB SSD for C Drive.

Windose has both HDD2 and the DVD R/W drives shown as not installed so I can't use my win7 repair disc to sort out this and several other problems.

Not sure whether these are related but I can't run any .EXE files either. In itself, that is not too serious as there are solutions available to fix it if/when I find a solution to the main problem.

:confused What I am really struggling with is the inability to download ANY web software at all. Whatever I try to download gets deleted immediately as Windoze claims it contains a virus and deletes it.

An AVG full scan yesterday didn't find any viruses?? virii? and I've tried to download several well respected programs from safe sites, so I'm sure they are not infected at source, if at all.

Going off to do another scan if I can whilst waiting and hoping for some help from here.
