hdmi 5.1 not working

    looking at previous i didnt see my issue

    got a HP dv7 hooked up my rca 5.1 surround sound cant get it to work.

    any thoughts or am i doin something wrong

    Try a trial of powerdvd 10 and try it through the hdmi.

    looks like this wont be working unless that powerdvd works

    Post back, if powerdvd does work. Mainly, it won't output all 5.1 if the source is not in 5.1. There are not many .mp3 files that encoded in 5.1.

    Btw, what receiver brand/model is it?
