HDMI monitor, want to use USB Audio on PC

    OK I got a new HDMI monitor, and video card, and I currently have a USB headset with mic. After I plugged up my new monitor and Video card, the only way I can hear anything on my PC is to use a headset that will plug into the back of my monitor. But what I want to do is to get my audio coming back thru my USB device, so I can use my mic. Vista ultimate x64. Thanks for any help
