Hdmi?

Have a Clevo Notebook - great old laptop - but - can I get a HDMI outlet for this machine so I can connect it to my new Samsung TV. The tv has the necessary input but I can't find anything about a card for the Clevo that allows me to us a HDMI cable':cry

 

The key word is "dongle" which have been around for at least 10 years.

Search examples can include DVI to HDMI, VGA to DVi, etc, etc:

Generally the cheapest will function "exactly the same" as any "Snake oil" variety.

A few bucks......if you pay much more don't buy it from them.

 

One of the key statements might be "great old laptop", in which case it might not have the video capabilities to render a good enough resolution on a modern TV.

 

The key word is "ebay" if you are buying a video dongle or cable. There is a huge difference in price compared to almost all retail shops (even online).

Thanks to all for your advice - pleasantly and forthrightly given. By the way, if the 'doongle' has been around for ten years, I was in my sixties before it arrived. Takes us old guys a little while to catch up with you young bucks.
