Does anybody know what modes of HDTV the dell 2005fpw support. I am going to hook up my xbox to the monitor and hopefully use some HDTV. I will be using a s-video hook up because i can't use componant. Thanks

i should have explained a little more. I have an high def pack that i use with my high def TV. But the problem lies when i have to go to college. I can't take my 40 in tv. And my dell 2005fpw has an s-video input. so i am going to convert the componant signal to a s-video signal using a converter. I was jsut wondering if my monitor would except the 720p signal. I read online somewhere that you can view 720p resolutions but i can't remember where this is why i was consulting here before i buy the cables

Unless the monitor is High Def., and its not, it will only accept 480i. Even if it did accept 720p, it would be down sampled to 480i. The fact that it has no component hook ups make it even more impossible. You cannot receive High Def. over anything but component, HDMI, and maybe DVI.
