Heat shrink tubing

Hey has anyone ever used this on every cable in your case? Howd you get it to shrink Im scared to use anything to hot....

 

Never used it in a PC, but used it a lot in other electronics. We used to use a heat gun, but normally a hairdryer set on high and held close is good enough.

 

Try this it will be easier to fit.

You can use pretty much any heat source even a zippo but be carefull !!!!!

Oh and bend it into shape before you heat it

 

Oh man thanks for telling me about bending it into shape before doing it... You werent kidding it wont move any other way except the way you put it when you shrink it!

 

I used it. I put some of this stuff on and put heat shrink on the ends to keep it from fraying. I used a lighter. but for some reason, it got too hot and melted the tubing a little and made it black. But it looks sweet!

 

you can get special boots that fit over brading as well#

Check out the rs web site for ideas but they are expensive so shop around

You gave me an idea so I got a heatshrink kit and the tape to extend and pretty up my wiring

Would be doing it now except that I left it all at work !!!!

Will get some pics up of b4 after and aplication - but dont hold your breath

ive used those mini blowtorch attachments you get on gas soldering irons... or even a soldring iron before.
