    Hey all,

So I have an i7 950 processor and it gets pretty hot. As of lately, I've been noticing that my cpu heatsink fan isn't moving. I took it out and cleaned it and then reinstalled it. If i push the fan, it'll start spinning....sometimes for a minute, then turn off again. Overall, it never really goes full throttle even when my cpu starts reaching the 60 degree range. When I unplug and plug it back in, the fan jolts so I know there's power. Please help

Sounds like you might need a new Cpu fan have you tried to plug this fan into another computer yet.

    Welcome to the forum JJRAt.

Check the Bios of the mainboard to see if it is set to control the fan. If so try disabling it an see if the fan runs full time.
