You folks must be sweltering with temperatures over 33º C (90º+F) in your summer.

Here in Cairns it is Winter and temperature today should be around 26º C (80+F).
Cold overnight, around 18º C (64 F) but beautiful during the day.

How hot is it where you live? Bazza

At present Bazza and its 20:24 then temp is 83F, we are too used to rain, rain and did I mention rain? but seriously most building and homes because we dont have the summers you have all the time.. we are not aclimatised to the temps so tend to suffer, plus the UK is not a country in which many homes have AirCon!! I may go sit in my Car for an hour ;)

    Right halo.

We moan when it rains (which we are right to do, the weathers taking the mick out of us) , yet when its hot its too hot. Yesterday was worse that today though. Don't know about your part of the UK but here in brum we've got this till saturday then it looks like thunder.

We have the opposite problem with humidity...i.e. there is very little (20% in places), which means fires are a great risk.

Well most don't think of the Rocky Mtn region as being hot , hot , hot. But it has been. Several days here over 100. but Humidity is usually in the teens or lower in the day time. Today is much cooler High was 92 and is 77 now at 6 pm MDT. My old stomping grounds (St. Louis MO area) really got it last nite. Bout half the population without power I understand.

I live in central Texas, north of San Antonio in the Hill Country... and at 103F here, it's pretty damn hot. But I can tell you one thing: I've been working outside in it for the past three days, all day long. It's not like sitting in the house saying, "Oh God, it's so hot out there!" Come out and enjoy it like framers and masons do. ;)
It's supposed to rain tomorrow they say, but if it does, it'll be humid as the pits of hell then...

Well it's not far from mid-day here and I have all the air-cons on, on heating cycle still. It's been dropping to about 0 to 2 deg. Celsius every night here for weeks. Bloomin’' cold and rainy.

But then again, in six months time, I'll be complaining its 45 deg. Celsius (115 deg. f) again!

8:20am and I'm already overheating in my air-conditioned office. Head is pounding with allergies and heat. TGIF!!!!!!!

My sympathy goes out to the Brits in all this...at least we do have A/C over here in most homes. Drink tons of iced water guys!

Take the ice cube trays out and just get in the freezer yourself! :p

Use a hairdryer to remove over grown ice...just don't get the melting water on the dryer

DELTA AND COASTAL RANGE LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING."........wobbles

Yesterday, here in Des Moines, Iowa the temp got hot enough to buckle concrete due to thermal expansion. That hasn't happened a lot since I was a kid.

I think I would have waited another 30 or so years before it got that hot again.

Big thing here is the humidity. It feels like stepping into a sauna and even makes breathing more difficult. Of course, it beats 200 inches of snow :)

eewwwwwwww indead, (except its only the water part that evaporates, the rest is probbaly left as a residue on the person which I think might be an even bigger ewwwwwww!)
