Well, for a false labor, I think Mock Turtle Soup would have been more appropriate, but Taco Bake is good too.

Well, "survival" has taken on a new meaning. I can't believe this condo complex. I took down all our blinds to hose them off on the patio. Well, each patio floor has a drain that pops out at the bottom of the building. Apparently, the one for this side of the building is clogged, and unknown to me (until someone knocked on the door), the water has found a way to escape by "creating" its own hole in the wall. It looked like something the lil' Dutch Boy would have had a field day with.

The realtor stopped by Friday to let us know the couple that owns this unit has taken it off the market. They had planned to sell it as they've had a new home built in the area, but since there's condo overkill in this area, no one showed any interest. I mentioned to the realtor that we were looking to move, and since I haven't formally notified our landlord yet, I'm sure she's burned up the land line to let them know. Not to worry though, our landlord never remembers when our lease is up anyway, we usually call him when it's time and ask for a renewal.

On a positive note, the blinds are clean as brand new.

How soon are you guys planning on moving? I know that place has been both nice and a PITA for quite a while now. Are you moving closer to work? I can't imagine your fuel bills with the price of gas these days.

 

Definitely moving closer to work; if where we want to go has something available, I'm a good 4 miles closer.

I dunno, I like this area and have never minded the drive; it's good for thinking. You have no idea how many brilliant ideas have been hatched on I-95.

It's been developed by the same outfit that renovated the ones we live in now, and that might be ominous.

Although I can understand loving the area you're in. Brand new is always nice, but as you mentioned, their track record for keeping things up is reminiscent of the Three Stooges.
