Heidi Eraser

I have been using Eraser for years. Never had a single problem. This past week it has literally stopped actually erasing, I do a right click on any file > UAC yes > do you really want to...yes > sits there does nothing. Right clicking Eraser in the far right task bar, if working it would show 'processing....' nothing.
I've searched on MG threads, I've searched on the Heidi official Eraser support forum >nothing
This is happening on three systems - one PC, two laptops. PC is Win 10 fully updated (NOT with the May 2020 2004 version), one laptop as per above PC config above, one Laptop with Win10 May 2020 2004 version.
This is happening in every Eraser version - I've tried with every one of the last six versions up to the latest.
I'm completely stumped and my head's aching.
I do have alternative cleaners but I've been so satisfied with Eraser for so many years I'm disappointed if I have to abandon it.

The portable version is not an alternative I would use.
The problem arose in the last but one version and continued in the latest version.
I clean uninstalled it before then testing all 6 version, using IoBit Uninstaller which does the same as Revo advanced mode. I always do a restart and re clean with Wise.
I think I'm just going to do without Eraser.
