helkern again and again and again

I have tried the old school method of removal by just reformatting the hard drive. I am on my forth reformat and start again project. This last time it was only 30-40 min's and helkern was attempting to get in again. I am running a new (very good gaming machine, alienware) with all the plus's. It is nice that the machine dosn't really slow down it just won't let me do anything. (i guess not really nice).. There are packets running around and thru like wildfire. There is only one hard drive in the machine, none connected outside (although i have 2 " my books " ). I am running a cable modem, i have tried a wireless w/firewall ( belkin N ), with no apparent success. I have been cleaning / fixing / building computers for a number of years, i'm not the best nor the worst. I have a good idea of what i'm doing. This will be the first time that a good reformat of the hard drive, ( no quick formats ), and usually using a multi level reformat that for some reason didn't get rid of what ever and everything on the drive. I have read the section about what to do for help on this site and since i have reformatted do you still need all of that???? if you do i'm sorry for posting w/out that info, let me know and i will provide it. I find this very confusing and frustrating. Thanks for your time...............Mrice. :confused
