    Hello All...
If i'm posting in the wrong forum,I'm sorry..it's my 1st time here.
I'm wondering how I can take FLAC,APE,CUE, or EAC files from their initial zip file form (I get them from friends like that when I download)..then burn them to CD?
If I go to unzip them, there's nothing there! Do I need a converter or another software program to burn them onto CD? Ican't even listen to them in this form,as i said, there being nothing there when I unzip the files.
I'm good with MP3 or Wav files, but the others..( all lossless type files) I'm stumped. I tried Googling it,but get way too much junk that's not relevant.
I'm hoping a very patient, helpful person on here can help explain in easy to understand terms. Again, my main interest is in burning these files, not so much listening to them on my PC. Thanks for your patience!!

    Hi,

What do you mean there is nothing there? Is the zip file valid (It has a reasonable size)? What program are you using to unzip the files?

Do you have filetypes showing? The file.cue, file.flac part is visible? If not, for ease of working with them you should have them showing. Open an Explorer window and on the Tools menu pick Folder Options then the View tab and uncheck the box for "Hide extensions for known filetypes"

    Hi, Thanks for replying...

Yes, the files are reasonably sized, most often about 325 Mb or more.I'm using WinRar to open them. I have win Explorer 7 ,the new version, and TOOLS doesn't have a Folder Option tab.

Hello...also don't know how to burn CD image files or DTS

Hello again...I trully appreciate the help!! I would also like to know how to burn CD Image files, and DTS audio, too. If you can help with these,or tell me a site to go to,or what program I need for any of them,i'd really appreciate it.

I usually unzip them first, if there is enough room on the media to hold the uncompressed contents.

DTS audio, I have heard, can be burned with an audio burning option of the CD burning program, although I haven't tried it myself.

As for image files, here are directions from the Ubuntu site: (They are for many OS's, including many different versions of Windows.) https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BurningIsoHowto
