Hello. I clicked on the similar threads, but they were old threads.
I want to know if anyone on this forum uses IObit software. MajorGeeks is recommending them, but I have found them full of bugs. I have always trusted MajorGeeks.
If you use IObit software, please tell me what you think.
I haven't had any luck and they seem to slow me down and give me freeze ups.
Just wondering, is it my OS or are there others having problems.
    Thank you for your comments.:(:(

I just started using it a couple months ago, running it on a few pcs and laptops, XP, X64 and Windows 7 not one single issue
So far I gotta say Thumbs up...:dood

I've used their advanced system care for a very short time,it had a very negative impact on my tweaked system,it made all sorts of unauthorized changes with undesirable effects and it was difficult to uninstall,I was going to try the 360 anti-spy program but it got negative reviews from several knowledgeable forum members here on its effectiveness in spite of its popular ratings...but i think the IObit SmartDefrag 1.50 is a very good quality defragger, the real time defraging keeps my machine running quick and tight, though i do not use it for a stand alone defragment( i run the windows defrag in safemode after routine maintenance)it runs at start up and in the background only.

    Hello sir!
I thank you for your reply, but I'm not sure what you just started using a couple months ago.
    IObit has several software programs.
Could you please give more details of which one you are using.
I have found bad memory leaks In IObit360 and Smart Ram.
Advanced System Care really messed up my PC and I had to restore my PC with a back up image I made on a USB with Macrium Reflect.
    Thank you for your reply.

My take is that ASC is for noob use, as is GameBooster. Using them on an already tweaked system can be counter-productive.

SmartRam, I've not noticed a memory leak with it but it can hog CPU cycles during times when it should be idle. I never noticed this behaviour in earlier versions. I start it, run deep clean then kill it.

    Hello sir.
    Thank you for your reply.
I had the same experience that you had with Advanced System Care, and even worse. I had to use Macrium Reflect to restore my OS back like it was before using ASC.
IObit 360 only has 67% of the definitions left after being forced to remove what they stole from Malwarebytes. It also has a terrible memory leak. I recommend MBAM.
I'm not impressed with their defrag software, but it's OK I guess.
I have heard that their Game Booster has a lot of bugs and they are getting a lot of flack about it.
That's about all I know for now.
Thank you for you comments sir!!

Any time a user dives into his or her system and tweaks things, there is a good chance that a system speed up app could cause system issues because of tweaks that the user has done. Not saying one way or the other, i have used the Gamebooster program they had offered for free for a while, it didn't make a huge difference in performance as most of the tweaks i had already done myself, but also didn't cause any issues with my system. This is running on a windows 7x64 bit machine. Any time you dive into a system and make tweaks, its hard to predict what will come of it, even if it runs stable for a while.

    Hello sir!
    Thank you for your reply.
I probably fit the title noob user. I haven't been in the computer world very long, but I'm always trying to learn.
My experience with Smart Ram was I would hear my PC starting to make a grinding noise. I only have 1Gb RAM. Even though Smart Ram said I had 50% free, Task Manger said differently. After a restart my PC was quiet and no slow downs or freeze ups.
I had my PC checked by Malware Fighter, and no problems were found.
After uninstalling Advanced System Care, I don't have any problems. My PC runs just great.
Thank you for your comments sir.
PS I really wish Major Geeks would give some warnings about these software programs if they are going to recommend them. I remember when they stopped offering IObit down loads, but now they are recommending them again.

    Hello!
I want to thank everyone for their reply's to this thread.
I didn't see very many positive reply's, and that's what I have observed on other forums.
I read some where on this forum that Advanced System Care and MBAM were old friends of MajorGeeks
I think ASC used to be a great software, but I'm having some doubts at this moment. They have added a lot of tools like duplicate file finder and some more tools that could cause a novice PC user a whole lot of problems. Plus the one click feature can be deadly for a novice user.
I don't want to cause any trouble here, but I really wish MajorGeeks would reevaluate IObit Software. I really believe IObit software is causing people a lot of problems. I really hate to see MajorGeeks ruin their great reputation because of this little Chinese Company.
I know for sure that IObit360 only has 67% of their definitions left after they had to remove what they stole from MBAM.
This is my 2 cents on this software.
I thank everyone for their reply's and I hope MajorGeeks will take a closer look at IObit software.
I'm a big fan of MajorGeeks. Keep up the good work!!

If you are a noob user as you say, how do you know about things like "Memory Leaks"? Most noob users that are "only new to the computer world" raise an eyebrow when I say RAM.

ASC isn't too bad but isn't the best, I've never used 360 so I cant comment, I have used game booster on an older system before to see some difference, and I use Smart Defrag all the time and find it quite good.

Jack, I suggest you take your agenda elsewhere, bringing up old topics like the MBAM thing is for archaeologists not noob PC users.

Please don't hint at comments made on other sites if you can't link to them to enable people to validate them.

I personally love anything and everything from IOBit. I've never had any problems. I was running 360 along with several other real-time protection programs, and had no conflicts in XP Home. I haven't tried it in 7 Ultimate. I also love ASC. It finds some IE temp files, Flash files, and so on which no other program finds. Just be careful which things you check off as far as the registry cleaner, system optimizer, etc. which nobody should just use haphazardly. That's serious stuff.

So we should remove any tools a novice can't use? This is MajorGEEKS.

If we removed every software with a memory leak, we would be out of business.

Some people believe in God and the Easter Bunny.

    Lol, not worth answering.

And there we have it. After all your suspicions and guesses the one thing you know for a FACT is wrong. We addressed this before, it was a horrible situation but Jim got in and negotiated this. You can search for this information here. The big difference? WE got our answres from the horses mouth. No big mouth on the internet had more time spent talking to the two companies, NO ONE.

Frankly, I think its someone elses 2 cents as you lack any facts or tests and comparisons to use.

I guess... But your in here spewing non issues. When the definition thing came up, a parade of people came forward who were uninformed. Even when we explained we were in touch with both authors PERSONALLY they still believed what they were fed.

There appears to be a second storm of uninformed people spreading lies and this is even looser then the last round.

Moderators: Feel free to delete unfounded accusations at will or notify me, especially when a member so obviously registers to slander a company with no facts.
