It has changed a bit since then, one of them is...

    3 bed semi-detached house in 1995 (oldest data i could find) was £50 000
    3 bed semi-detached house today is £160 000

One thing that hasn't changed is the weather, mostly cold and grey!

But then I have to buy Photoshop CS2....and I don't have that. Or Photoshop at all. Obtaining an illegal copy would be wrong. I'll get parents to buy it and say I need it for my coursework hehe!

Hello Steigers. I'm originally from Cornwall. In reference to the scouse remark, I believe I'm an Auggie. Correct me if I'm wrong Lev. Oh, also, everyone at this site is from the UK, except rogvalcox;)

    Hey Steigers,

I've been around MG for a while, don't post that often. Originally from Wales, have been living in Leicester for the last 6 years or so.

You're right about the house prices, just bought our first one near Gypsy Lane :)

I have no idea sibeer, and a quick google turned nothing up either. I know if you are an auggie though, I am a grockel ;)

I spelled it wrong. It's oggie which is a pasty (pass-tee).

"1800's: The pasty evolved to meet the needs of tin mining, a once great, but now sadly declined, Cornish industry. The pasty was a complete meal usually consisting of meat, potato, onion and swede, in a pastry casing, which made for a very practical hot meal in the hand. Mines often built large ovens on the surface to keep the pasties warm until it was time to eat. The shout 'Oggie, Oggie, Oggie' is said to originate from Cornish miners shouting in unison for their pasties (also known as oggies or tiddy oggies). The thick edges were originally for holding the pasty whilst eating, to avoid being poisoned by the arsenic sometimes found on their fingers. The pasty was sometimes divided inside into two sections so as to provide both a main course and dessert. The edges or corners were often saved for one of the mischievous 'Knockers' (ghosts) which were said to exist down the mines. Cornish housewives often marked initials on a corner to avoid confusion down the mine at lunchtime. A good pasty was thought to be strong enough to drop down a mine shaft."
