    I have ben trying to read yr forum and follow it but its not working, I have an eye disease so cant read so good for long periods but have memorised keyboard, as I said I hav followed malware removal it took me most of last night, using ccl and hackthis.

    I thought it was sorted but its not, what I am getting is advert popping up not quite a full screen there is a bit missing at the bottom for some reason, also some websites I cant access because of something to do with activex can you help me please?

    Hi and if this is too early I did fill one of these in yesterday but I cant find it so I appologise first hand ok for maybe not sending it or whatever.

    I cant read a lot as my eyesight is failing, I have some sort of malware, I followed your steps to the letter and thought I had removed it but I have since ran hijackthis and ccleaner but to no avail.

    right just remembered when i did hackthis last night i turned pc on and loads of drivers had gone missing so wound it back to day before. hmmmm.

    well can you help me please and I am sorry if I sent the post from yesterday but am too dumb to find it lol.

    what is my next step please ??

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Your 2 threads were merged together.

    We do not ask you to run HijackThis and CCleaner is not going to remove malware. If you have malware problems you are going to need to get someone to help you run all steps in the instructions further down because it is the only way we can help you remove all malware.

    As I stated above, we do not ask you to run HijackThis in our cleaning procedure so whatever you did you should undo from HijackThis's, Misc Tools, Backup feature because you probably remove things that you should not be touching.


    Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.


    READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
