    Hay guys, im ben 26 from bristol nice eh, while at college i studdied a avce in ICT and i still dont know what that means i have built a few of my own computers in the past and they always have problems haha. My question to you guys is at cristmass i recived a Razor naga mouse and Razor Trantula Keyboard and i love them however ever since they have been installed my boot has slowed down SOoooooo much im talking now it quite literly takes 10 minuets to boot, i have advanced system care installed, avg and zonealarm and ad aware. i run scan's whenever i cant play on the come to keep it clean and i dont surf on it i use this laptop for surfing basicly its just for games haha now i know im sad....

    its got xp system its not super powerfull at all but has 2gb ram and a geforce9800 gtx and runs the games i want at perfect speed when it finally boot's up

    i have the latest firmware updates and software updates on both the keyboard and the mouse. however when i plug the mouse and keyboard in to this laptop they dont slow the boot up.

    any idears i am happy to try anything help will be greatly appriciated.

    Ok So i just removed the keyboard and mouse and booted it still took quite some time about 3 min it stopped when it shows the background for about 1 min. this it never used to do at all.

    Hello and welcome to the forum. I really dont know where you go from making sure your computer is update, have you made any recently updates, did you install/uninstall anything at the time it started slowing down when loading, have you checked what you got for start ups, are you sure your computer is really clean maybe take it to the cleaners we have on this forum http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407 you can do all the things it says and post logs needed. Also You could try clicking "start" then click "run" then type msconfig (press enter) Click start up tab, then click "disable all" then apple and okay and restarted the computer, and see if boot is "quicker"
