Help! All My Hard Drive's Partitions Are Deleted

I was trying to make my Compaq laptop clean from all the extra HP stuff and deleted everything, including all the partitions. Now nothing is recognized and it won't do anything ( It's a blank state and I don't know what to do. Can someone help me?

In deleting the partitions you have in effect turned your laptop into a door stop.......Why did you do this???

You will need to use software to recover those missing partitions

TestDisk is excellent and good but perhaps in your case you should use something easier

Perhaps the minitool one. You will need to boot via CD or USB and use the prog to undelete your handy work.

 

At the risk of sounding snarky.... after you, hopefully recover, that would be a good time to.... you know..... (BU).

I have successfully used this tool to actually get to the laptop I had factory condition.
If you have not created any other partitions yourself, it would be easier ,as you only nee to recover the partitions you have just, inadvertently, deleted.
Read the bumf on the site, it's a free tool, and come back if you find problems.
