hi ive ran spybot and adaware and hijack this turned all the stuff i need to turn off but untoo sure about this one any advice

cheers alan c i guess it is my own ip the problem im getting isslow at accessing start menu and connecting to net pc runs real slow just wondered if had trojan or virus ive ran norton and online trojan remover but nothing found ive cleaned it up and defrag it all but still a bit slow my specs are 2.6 amd asus a7n8x mobo geforce mx440 graphics 20 gig harddrive hope this helps by the way my o/s is xp pro

 

Sounds like you've already got most of the bases covered... There is a known issue with one of the XP hotfixes. Have you installed all of the latest critical updates? Have a look at this article:

If the above tip doesn't fix it you can post you HijackThis log and we can take a look and see if you have any nasties in there.
