Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

• Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
• Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

• After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

• When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
  • Bitdefender
  • Panda Scan
  • HijackThis

Oops! No you did not!

• CounterSpy was not run and the log was not posted from it since you did not run it.
• You did not run Bitdefender online scan and you did not attach the log from it
• You did not run Panda ActiveScan and you did not attach the log from it.
• You did not follow the directions in step 7 for installing HijackThis properly. In fact you installed it exactly where we specify not to install it.
• You have two notepad sessions open and they should not be running. Step 7 specifies to shutdown unnecessary processes. Notepad is not necessary and some malware will run it. We need to be sure it is not malware.
• You also have iexplore.exe running. Step 7 indicates that ALL browsers are to be closed before running HijackThis

 

You still are not following the directions in step 7 of the READ ME. You have HJT running directly from the ZIP file which we specifically tell you not to do:

C:\DOCUME~1\anthony\LOCALS~1\Temp\Temporary Directory 1 for hijackthis[1].zip\HijackThis.exe

However you don't have any major problems just the below lines that you can have HijackThis fix after installing HJT properly:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1
O20 - Winlogon Notify: dxtmon - dxtmon.dll (file missing)

Is the McAfee Antivirus program you are running the same as AOL Antivirus?
