Help...cant access internet

Hi...ok, im new to this, but I have an issue that I cant figure out. Ive worked on this for 2 days now. Ok, to start, yesterday my son was looking at backgrounds for his myspace and all of a sudden my computer started saying that it was infected and that it was at risk ok having passwords and such accessed. I couldnt access anything that I had put on my computer other than pictures. The whole time I was fighting with the pop up saying about a virus. Then it started trying to access the internet by itself. All the time I had turned my net off from this computer. I went and put Defender Pro 5 in 1 on, I have never had problems with this before, and was able to only access internet on my sons account on the computer, but this was after turning firewall off and setting it where it wouldnt block internet any longer. Now, when I went onto my account, I couldnt access it at all. Period. Played around and finally got it where it would access sites that only started with https://. If the s isnt included, it wont come up and gives me the standard screen saying internet explorer can not....you get the idea. I have looked at everything I can think of and nothing seems to be helping. Also, I cant switch users without turning my computer off and then back on again. If anyone has any ideas, please help. Im going crazy with this. Usually I can figure problems out, but im stumped. And yes, I have run a virus scan and fixed any issues that were a problem. Help please....thanks. :confused

 

Welcome to the forum You may have worked around some of the initial symptoms of the malware but most likely your still infected and this is what's causing the problems,the symptoms you have described are pretty serious.

Follow this guide and perform basic cleaning then if your still having problems you can start a thread in the Malware forum requesting help,you may be tempted to skip steps to get your Internet and computer working as fast as possible but in the long run your just setting yourself up for more problems.
