Help...can't logon!!!

Hi!! :wave My partner can't logon to her computer... windows xp pro. She had it password protected... and the password she set won't let her log on. Maybe just forgotten the exact spelling or ???? who knows? Is there a way to bypass this and reset? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have a good one!!!

Since this is xp pro.

At the welcome screen, hit:

CTRL + ALT + DEL (two times).
A logon prompt should appear.
Username should be: administrator
password (default) : press enter. If that doesn't work, type in the password that was used to install windows with.

If ye can now logon, then change the password to the default user account.
