help dad cleanup

daughter computer just about froze up, takes much time to open anything and usually freezes the whole box up, have to pull the plug to reboot,ran avg free version, that found 2 trojans but i think there are some reattaching trojans that keep reinventing themselves. Keep getting a view mgr error upon opening, and the display is permanently set to 640 cant change it. just trying to save some bucks here and learn how to clean this thing on my own. any steps for a newby would be greatly appreciated;

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

Notes:

If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

Starting your computer in Safe mode

If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

Sir: got big trouble, my broser was hijacked, then my start menu was disabled, and when I tried to open safe mode it also will not bring up the start menu. So now when I try to start up the computer it's just a frozen mess. thanks for your time;;;

you guys were no help at all, i ran your cc cleaner, then downloaded all your software, superantispyware, spybot and malwarebyttes, were all compromised by my resident trojans. they either sent an error message that the server was down, stopped in the middle of the install or just locked up. all of these programs are not up to date to handle these trojans. these trojans just hijack the antivirus and stop it. thanks for nothing

We cannot help you if you don't truly attempt to follow instructions and attach the logs that are requested. ALL steps must be attempted. MGtools almost always runs and you probably did not even try it. Helping you means you need to help us help you. We cannot just guess what is wrong with your PC. Did you try renaming programs as suggested too?

I will give you one more thing to try but if you come back with the same attitude, your thread will simply be closed.

Please begin by clicking Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices.

Scroll down to “Non-plug and Play Drivers” and click the plus icon to open those drivers.

Then search forTDSSserv.sys

Let me know if you find this or not.

If you do find it, right click on it, and select Disable. Do not try to uninstall it.

Also if TDSSserv.sys is found and you disable it, then reboot.

After reboot, retry the scanners (all of them) from the READ & RUN ME.
