Help desperatley with user permissions

Hi,

I have recently had to format my hard drive and install a fresh. Before i did this i pulled some documents that i wanted onto a dvd.Once new copy of windows was installed i pulled the files over. I have now noticed that any file that i place into my documents i cant open or delete and i get a message saying "Access is denied,Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currenty in use". I need to access some files for school and also to delete files off my pc but i cant because of this. I have created a new folder called my documents under my local drive and have placed files in here and i can open them and edit them all i want and i dont get a error but it does when i try and use the my documents that was created for my profile. Also i dont know if this will help you understand my predicament and that is that i just copied all the documents and settings of my old profile that got formated to my new profile on my fresh copy of windows.

PLEASE HELP ME! ( I have GCSE'S (exams) to write in a few weeks and need the data)
