Help Editing files

Hello all,

Does anyone know of an application that allows me to view or edit .MAP files?

I have uploaded one of the files as an attachment.

I also found searching the .map extension most sites listed at least 3 versions and had links for free scans for .map file extension errors

Looks like there are issues you are not alone.

search from your browser for file extensions choose your own from the results or use the previously suggested one...

 

The files is on my sat nav, relating to the POI's
As some a wrong, I am trying to correct them by editing the file

 

Are you absolutely sure the .map file holds the information you need to edit? From this link there is an online editor but it seems to be asking for different file extensions.

I'm just asking--I don't know anything about editing GPS maps.

Thanks for the links.

The .MAP files are on the POI folder on the device and should contain information about the pre-loaded poi's. This is on a Navman/ Mio device, but should be simular to a tomtom as they use the same map data provider.

I can add customer points of interest in CSV format using the pc software, but i want to edit the pre-loaded pois and Navman tech support dont support this.
