    Hi guys,

Well Me and my Sisters all seem to have run into problems. My little sister's Laptop (Which was a bargin basement one) Is completely shot. Something inside has burned up and it doesn't work anymore.
My older sister tripped and an entire glass of water spilled on hers, she can still use it but the internet doesn't work, she can't use any of her games, so basically all she can use it for is writing papers.

Well My Problem is that i have been given the task of finding them new laptops. So I have been ferreting around the net with the specific desires of each of them on what they want their laptops to do. Niether want desktop computers because they both are very mobile people. As i deal with my quest i find that a lot of the laptops out there are pretty pricey if you configure them the way they want. Cheapest I found for a laptop with the graphics and processing power they need was $3413.00
Maybe i don't know where to look for the lowest price (I'm no good at bargin hunting)
Both of my sisters feel basic standards are great as long as they don't deal with graphics or slow down their games. I am looking for a computer that has the power to run the Sims 2 and all the expansion packs without any problems (she was having a problem with not being able to have more than one nieghborhood) I don't understand it I don't play that game. She also wants to run her collection of Myst games without problems. She usually uses her computer for net surfing, and catologging her video collection or DVD collection (she likes to catalog).
So I was wondering If you guys (who now so much more about computers than me ) Could help point me in the direction of a laptop that isn't too expensive and allows for fast wireless internet access, fast downloads, and the capability to play graphic intensive games?
"Any help would be very much appreciated" - Said the exhausted monkey :)

$3413 for a laptop, good god, are you trying to get them the top of the line crap? You can get a decent laptop for under $900.00 from Dell, Gateway, HP/Compaq and just pop in some more memory to bring them up to par. As for Sims2, it will run fine on a Celeron, same for word processing and Internet browsing.
