Help, first maths GCSE!!!

Help!!!!!
Can't do graphs with equations and the exam starts in 2 and a half hours!!!!!!

 

usually X is the independant variable and Y is the dependant variable.
X the "input" of the equation gets plotted on the horizontal axis, and Y the "output" of the equation gets plotted on the vertical axis.

that's basically it. sometimes the independant variable isn't X and Y isn't Y, but the rules still apply.

I've been reading on transformations and extensions, particularly graphs like y=x2 but now I think I'm ready!

No worries Halo, I don't plan to do it for a career, although I've stupidly chosen to do it for A/S!

 

Are you gonna do the AS over 1 or 2 years? I did it over 2 and it wasn't so bad, even with glandular fever chucked in the middle of the exams

 

seriously man, i loved as maths a lot more then gcse maths.... it just feels like a lot more of it ahs 'clicked', if you know what I mean.

 

Hmmm I'm taking the Maths with Mechanics option and not sure if I want to take it on for the 2nd year as of yet, let's get GCSEs out of the way first!!!

 

Sounds like someone needs a graphing calculator......

 

I have thoroughly hated AS maths. I'm glad I'm dropping it. Not enough teachers, and the subject doesn't work well with me unless I'm applying it (for example, physics or chemistry).
