Help...Help...Help! Please :-)

First, let me say, I wish I had found your site before I started having problems! The service you provide is tremendous, and greatly appreciated! I plan to be a member for life! :wave

Here's my question. I posted on the malware removal forum a couple of weeks ago. The problems I'm having are very serious, not to mention costing me money, as I use this computer for work in my home office. The most urgent issue is I started getting a new window open on many sites, asking for very sensitive Visa info, i.e. SS#, mother's maiden name, ATM pin numbers, etc. This even happened on your site when I tried to purchase backup!

I did receive a reply from a moderator. I ran the programs he asked me to, and posted the logs. He replied that I posted the mgtools folder, and said I needed to post the .zip file. I immediately did that, and I haven't received a response since. I know you guys are extremely busy...but I noticed that he has been helping many others whom have just posted within the last two days. My thread is now way back on page 3...maybe 4 by now. Are the posts not answered in the order they were posted? I could understand if he were replying to posts which had already been started...but, as I said, he's now helping those that just posted yesterday and today. rolleyes

I am getting desperate. As I stated, I count on my computer for my income. I buy and sell on online auctions and I can't do that now...so I have no income until I get the problems with this pc repaired. Right now I think I have $35.00 in my bank account. (I'm not sure...I'm afraid to log into my bank account info!) :cry

I know it says to be patient...but with such a serious problem, I really, really need major help. Do I just keep waiting and see if he finally replies? I'm not "tattling" on the moderator...I'm just wondering if this is normal.

As a new user, I cannot help you, but can you go to the library and use their computer?? That is what I do in an emergency or perhaps you can borrow one since this is how you make your money??

 

OH...thank you so much Halo, for explaining the protocol on threads. I do realize you guys do this as a free service, and I can't express enough how very, very much I appreciate it! Now that I know how the forum works, I will be patient and wait for chaslang to get back to me.

Unfortunately, I live way out in the country in Texas. Our little town doesn't even have a police department, much less a library. "Downtown" Blue Ridge only has 3 businesses...a cafe, insurance office and gift shop. No red lights...only 1 stop sign. One grocery store and one gas station/feed store. On Christmas Eve we have a "Parade of Lights" downtown. Takes about 3 minutes!! roflmao
