Help - hijack?

Yesterday I tried to install some software for my mobile but it was infected. Now I seem to be hijacked and can't use that computer at all because IE which isn't my default is flashing up nonstop trying to open a polish website. I am getting hundreds of messages about multiple threat detection in notepad.exe win32/heur. I'm a bit desperate because this flashing screen covers almost the whole screen and I can't move it which makes it really difficult to run anything. Please advise!

 

Sorted now after running system repair and stepping back a few days.
